...Say The Visit to the State has Corrected Wrongful Impression Created on Osun
The Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has once again been commended for prioritizing education sector in the state.
The commendation was given by the delegation of Oyo State Ministry of Education and the State Schools Management Authority.
While speaking during the facility tour across the newly constructed state-of-the-art public schools in the state, the Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Education, Mr. Bolarinwa Ayodele and the Director of Schools, Oyo State Schools Management Authority, Mrs. Adekambi Aderiyike lauded Osun state government for taking education to its rightful position.
The delegation, however were on a roundtable education submit involving the six states of the southwestern region decided to tour round the state with the sole aim of confirming some of the schools being constructed by the state government.
The due who described the steps taken by Governor Aregbesola to change the face of education in the state as a "brilliant placement of necessity", said the construction of ultra modern schools across the state remains a testimony towards the government's commitment at revamping education system.
In his reaction, Mr. Ayodele said his visit to the state has opened his eyes to the existing reality of greater achievements recorded by the present administration.
Ayodele who attributed the ultra modern schools constructing across the state to what he regarded as a 'lifetime legacy', emphasizing that Osun government has through its noble intervention on educational revolution placed the state to the front burner among its counterparts.
He said "our visit to Osun has really corrected the wrong impression created about the state as we have been exposed to reality.
"This visit has also exposed us to the successes recorded by the present administration just as we have story to tell when we get back to our state.
"We have seen the edifices built around the state by the present administration and as a matter of fact, Governor Aregbesola has done well in education sector.
"The facts we gathered here would remain memorable in our hearts to change the erroneous impression and rumour created in the media.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Osun State Ministry of Education, Mr. Festus Olajide described the tour as a necessity capable of correcting the erroneous impression hold by some people about the state.
Mr. Olajide who applauded Governor Aregbesola for making education the bedrock of economy, said the huge investment made by the state government had yielded positive result.
He pointed out that the construction of modern schools around the state had portrayed Osun as a model not only in education but in other areas of the economy.
He therefore urged the state government not to relax in its continuous efforts at turning the state to education roll model in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
