A Tale of Two Countries - ADEBAYO RASHEED MABAYOJE

ITALIAN GOVERNMENT:

Do you remember the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia?

The ship hit rocks and sank in 2012, killing 32 people.
Last Wednesday, captain of the ship, Francesco Schettino was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 16 years in prison. He was accused of taking the liner too close to the shore and then abandoning ship with passengers and crew still on board. Analyst call the verdict "accountability".

JONATHAN'S GOVERNMENT:

Do you remember Nigeria's immigration recruitment tragedy under GEJ?
700,000 graduates were invited for 4,000 vacant positions.
18 of the job seekers died and many were injured in the March, 2014 nationwide recruitment test conducted under Jonathan's approval. The applicants reportedly paid the sum of N1,000 each as application fee.

The man that Jonathan commissioned to do the recruitment- under which the innocent Nigerians died is still walking Nigerian streets and enjoying the gains he made from the money that the 700,000 applicants paid to apply for the jobs that never came.
Now, after postponing the elections by six weeks, GEJ is planning to reintroduce the Immigration
employment, a move Nigerians believe is targeted at achieving Jonathan's political ambition in the March elections.
