VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN REVISITED
They are to be loved and cherished,but they are harassed and battered,God created them to be our patner in progress but we only see them as another domestic property acquired,we demand for their respect even when we never reciprocates such gesture,they are only to be seen but not heard,that is the new trend in the jaundiced minds of an average man!
From Lagos to New York, Jeddah to London, and Lisbon to Tehran,the story is almost the same,force prostitution,widow alienation,wife battering,e.t.c
In Nigeria,Just last month a man was arrested after he killed his banker wife,indeed he was able to overpowered the poor woman,not because he is stronger,but because the rest of us have subscribed to twin cowards of guilt and conspiracy of silence!
Like the proverbial adulterous woman during the time of Jesus christ,we refuse to be the first to cast the biblical stone,at least We are all guilty!

moreover she refused to accept man's Iranian retributive law to seek vengeance against her tormentor,she taught us strong and divine lesson in forgiveness,her ability to forgive her tormentor in the face of eternal injury to her face is not only commendable but questioned our core value as men, we must realised the contribution of women in building family and by extension our society.

What a powerful way of put the violence against women, and it is not so different in the continent I live. Every day many women die or are battered by their spouses leaving inocent children alone . Silent victims of the system. Most of the cases are not denouced . Domestic violence can't be tolerated anymore.!!!
