No Amount of Propaganda will Derail Us- Aregbesola...Says He Has Made History in Health Sector

The Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to remain pro-masses Governor even in the face of propaganda and unfounded allegations being peddled by the members of the opposition.

Governor Aregbesola said no amount of propaganda would either derail him or distract his attention from the laudable projects which his administration has embarked upon.

Aregbesola who expressed confidence in his administration's capacity to bring more succor to the masses, boasted that nothing would distract him from transforming the state.

Governor Aregbesola stated that his administration has made a significant turn around in the health sector in the state since assumption of office, disclosing that his government had prioritized the healthy living of the masses.

He cautioned the mischief makers to stop peddling lies against his administration and live by the present socio-economic and political realities.

Governor Aregbesola who denounced several allegations leveled his government by the members of the opposition said on no account does his administration commits any of the allegations.

He implored the opposition members to  embrace economic reality and stop spreading venomous lies against his personality or any member of his government.

Governor Aregbesola also used the occasion to advice the good people of the state on the need to embrace farming which he described as the only sustainable alternative to present economic mess.

He also implored the citizens to demonstrate favourable attitude towards tax payment which according to him remains the lubricant that greases the engine of development.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary, Boripe Local Government, Hon. Hassan Kehinde Moronkeji commended Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his brilliant agenda which were calculated to turn around the economic fortune of the state and as well improve the standard of living of the masses.

Hon. Moronkeji who attributed the successes recorded so far in the Council to what he described as collective efforts of the State Government, said the kind gestures of Governor Aregbesola led to numerous achievements garnered.

He also applauded the tireless efforts of the current administration to repositioning the state, noting that the present administration has impacted tremendously in the lives of the people.

Hon. Moronkeji acknowledged that the current administration under the leadership of Governor Aregbesola has demonstrated his love and passion to the people of his Local Government which he said has complemented his efforts.

Hon. Moronkeji who disclosed his administration's commitment to development said, his government has spent over N50million so far to purchase the medical equipment.

He said the purpose of procuring the equipment was based on his administration's resolve to improve the health status of the citizens in the Local Government Area.

"We commend our amiable, ebullient, inimitable, irrepressible and visionary Governor which is the engineer behind the success of the project we are commissioning today.

"We are commissioning these modern medical equipment for the use of the health facilities in our Local Government simply because it is the priority.

"It is our believe that health is wealth and for this reason, our administration has invested hugely in health sector.

"When we took over the mantle of administration of this Local Government, we look at the status of our health facilities and discovered that, the equipment they were using were already outdated due to the moving train of technology.

"This made our administration in year 2013 to travel down to the United States of America to seek for modern medical equipment for our health centres for the betterment of our people in this Local Government Area through the approval of Mr. Governor.

"We strongly believe that health is wealth and for this purpose we have been working tirelessly to place priority to sound health and robust standard of living of our people.

"Our commitment on this is to improve the health status of our citizens", he stated.

Hon. Moronkeji stressed that some of the equipment would be donated to State Government, which according to him would be useful in the state hospitals.

According to him, we are operating Primary Health Centres at the Local Government level while State are operating General Hospitals, but some of these equipment would be donated to the state as a contribution to development.

He therefore promised to continuously live up to the expectations of the masses.
